This article will walk through how to bulk reissue certificates using the Automation Center's Updater.
Requirements
- To use the Automation Center and Updater, you must be Success Plus or Premium
- The Updater must have been set up
Why Reissue a Certificate?
The process of reissuing a certificate results in the certificate image to be re-generated. This does not update any issue dates or expiry dates of the certificate, it instead causes Learn365 to update the certificate image/file itself. This is useful if you update the template (possibly with new logo and branding) and would like all previously earned certificates to contain this update.
Please note that this process can be done individually via the API if you'd only like to update a few certificates: Reissue a certificate via API – Help Center
How to Reissue a Certificate Template via the Updater
- Access the Automation Center
- Go to Updater > Courses
- Create a new update
- Provide an update name
- Select the courses that you would like the certificates updated for
- You can use the filter to select all courses with a specific template id
- Once this template is selected, you can then easily select all of the courses that you'd like to update.
- You can use the filter to select all courses with a specific template id
- Add a new Update operation of CertificateTemplateId > Reissue and provide the template you would like to be used for reissuing
-
NOTE
You can select a different template than the template for the settings on the course. This will cause all earned certificates for this course to be reissued to the template that you selected in the Updater. All certificates earned in the future will continue to follow the template in your course setting.
