What happens when I select Create in a Content365 Authoring course?

Required role: catalog admin.

When you select Create in a Content365 Authoring course:

  • Notifications are displayed in the notifications feed during course creation, when courses have been saved successfully, and when courses fail to save. Select the bell icon on the Learn365 Admin Center toolbar to check notifications. If one or more courses fail to save, view the relevant notification for more information. If the issue persists, you can contact Zensai Product Support.
  • Content365 Authoring courses are displayed on the Training Management page, side by side with other courses and training plans. Content365 Authoring courses show the image 94 (2).png icon in The source of the imported content package column. They also show the red cross icon Unpublished_course_icon.png in the Status column to indicate they aren't yet published.
  • SCORM packages from Content365 Authoring courses are available in Content > Content package storage, where they also show the image 94 (2).png icon. Here, you can manage content packages in the usual way and share it across Learn365. By default, content packages for newly created Content365 Authoring courses are set to Not Shared, meaning they are available only in the current catalog. Catalog admins can change the sharing settings via Edit content package. While you can download a Content365 Authoring content package, you can use and edit it only in Learn365.
  • Learners and admins aren't assigned to courses.
  • The Automatic Approval enrollment flow is applied.
  • Courses are set to be shown in the course catalog.
  • Voluntary course retake is enabled.
  • Learners must complete the content package before the entire is considered complete.
  • Special characters (e.g. " # % & * : < > ? \ / { | } ~ [ ] ` ' ^ and space) aren't supported in the web address of a course so they're replaced with an underscore during course creation. Special characters in course titles are retained.
  • The Content365 Authoring course image is displayed as the thumbnail image for the Learn365 course.
  • Content packages are added to the Content section of the course configuration panel.
  • The Title and Description of your Content365 Authoring course map to the Name and Short Description fields respectively in the Learn365 course properties.
