Welcome to the August 2025 edition of our What’s New. This month, we’re excited to introduce powerful updates that enhance operational resilience, streamline content creation, and deepen employee engagement across Learn365, Learn365 Automation Center and Perform and Engage365. Let’s explore!
Learn365
Create proxy managers and delegates
Proxy manager capabilities keep learning on track by ensuring timely support, approvals, and compliance, even when a learner’s direct line manager is unavailable. To ensure leave, workload, or organizational structure don’t disrupt learner progress, Learn365 now supports the creation of Proxy Managers and Delegates by LMS administrators.
- Proxy Managers can be assigned by LMS Admins to act on behalf of a line manager. They gain access to the Line Manager Dashboard and My Training Dashboard and receive the same notifications as the line manager.
- Delegates (coming soon) will allow additional managers to support learners without changing the hierarchy outside Learn365 (e.g. Entra ID, HRIS or HCM systems).
These additional permissions are easy to set up directly in Admin Center, or via API. For more on how to set them up for your learners, see the Help Center.
Engage learners with course feedback surveys
Course feedback surveys give you timely insights into training effectiveness, helping you improve content, boost engagement, and ensure learning meets organizational needs. You can now create and assign course feedback surveys in Learn365 with our new survey content type.
Survey capabilities include;
- Support multiple-choice and free-text questions
- Multiple trigger options for survey assignment: at course completion, or later to help monitor retention and impact either 30, 90 or 180 days after the course
- Respondents can complete surveys anonymously with a single submission per learner
- Survey responses can be gathered, including completion metrics, in dedicated reports which can be downloaded for KPI tracking and compliance
Once a survey is published to a course and has been assigned to a learner, it becomes locked to preserve data integrity. More details on course feedback surveys here
Assign skills to courses with AI
Consistent skill-to-course mapping removes the guesswork for admins, making it easier to maintain a large skills framework without needing subject matter expertise in every area. When generating courses with AI, Learn365 can now automatically suggest up to five relevant skills from your existing skills framework that you can validate and assign before publishing.
- Skills are visible in course settings and validation files
- Admins can review and adjust before publishing
This is the first step in a broader initiative to intelligently map training to skills. For a comprehensive overview of creating courses with AI, including skills assignment, see this article.
Microsoft 365 Assets enabled by default
The Microsoft 365 Assets feature, which has been available in preview for some time, is now enabled by default for all new tenants. Easily embed documents, videos, and other assets from your Microsoft 365 environment into learning modules and enjoy improved discoverability via the Advanced Settings panel in Admin Center.
Learn365 Automation Center
Learn365 Automation Center updates are highlighted below. The Certificate Builder is part of Automation Center, which can help you get even more from Learn365, cutting admin work and empowering content owners. Automation Center is included with all Success Plus and Premium plans. Get in touch with your Customer Success Manager if you’re not already using Automation Center.
Assigner for start and end dates
The Assigner now supports the ability to specify enrollment start and end dates. This allows admins to schedule an Assigner profile to be enrolled or unenrolled into learning at a specific date and time.
Updater for Training Plans
Training Plan enrollments can now be updated via Updater from Automation Center. When updating a Training Plan, any new courses will be added to the plan. Learners will be enrolled and their completion status will be set to "In Progress"
With this release, admins can trigger multiple update types (e.g. course, training plan or user) from a single page.
Certificate Builder
Certificate Builder enables you to create custom certificate templates and incorporate them into your Learn365 certificate templates library. The Certificate Builder provides customization of certificate fields and the ability to include dynamic data and custom user properties created within Synchronizer.
Perform & Engage365
Enhanced notification controls
Notification management in Perform & Engage365 just got smarter. Organizations can now set default delivery channels (email, Teams) and preferred delivery times, automatically apply these settings to new users, and reset existing preferences to match org-wide defaults.
Meanwhile, users gain more control with advanced personalization options. They can customize delivery time and channels per notification type, manage alerts for check-ins, surveys, comments, likes, and more, and override organizational defaults for a tailored experience.
That’s it for August! As always, we’d love to hear your feedback. Please reach out to your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager.
