Introduction
Course catalog notification templates include the Guest Invitation and several skill-related notification templates.
This article describes these notification templates, what triggers them, how they're delivered, and the default template settings.
Guest Invitation
Description
An invited guest (external user) will receive this email notification, which invites them to join a catalog.
NOTE
Internal users don't automatically receive email notifications when they're added to a catalog. For information about how to add users to a course catalog, see this article.
What triggers the notification?
External users (guests) will receive the Guest Invitation notification when an admin invites them to join a catalog via the Learn365 Admin Center > Users page. For more information about how to invite external users (guests), see this article.
Default recipients in the To and Cc fields
Learner - an external user (guest).
Delivery Type
Email only.

Default settings
The Guest Invitation notification template with default settings provides the following information:
- To. The external user (guest) to whom this notification is sent.
- Cc. Empty by default.
- Subject. Default text with a catalog variable is provided. This field is required.
- Body. Contains the default text, including the name of the admin who invited the external user (guest) to the catalog, a direct link to the catalog home page, and the Accept invitation link.

Variables. A list of variables is available for customization in this notification template. For more information about notification template variables, see this article.
Catalog admins can edit the notification template and change its default values.
Editing will make the template customized but there are consequences of doing this.

Skill-related notifications
The skill-related notifications at catalog level are:
- Skill request pending
- Skill request approved
- Skill request rejected
