Introduction
Learn365 notification templates can be customized using the variables that are available for the template in question.
In this article, we provide a list of all the available variables, together with an example of what they'll look like in a notification.
Variables are presented in alphabetical order and examples of their usage in default or custom notification templates are provided.
Variables starting with 'A'
{ACCEPT INVITATION HYPERLINK}
What is displayed: The following text: Accept Invitation.
Description: A hyperlink to accept an invitation to a catalog and navigate to the catalog page.
{admin name}
What is displayed: Admin's name.
Description: The name of the admin who manually added the user to a waiting list.
{APPROVE LINK}
What is displayed: The following text: Approve.
Description: A hyperlink to approve a request.
{APPROVER EMAIL}
What is displayed: Approver's email address.
Description: Email address of the approver who managed the request.
{APPROVER NAME}
What is displayed: Approver's name.
Description: Name of the approver who managed the request.
{ASSESSMENT CHANGED DATE:d}
What is displayed: Date of the assessment approval.
Description: Date the assessment was approved by a supervisor.

What is displayed: Time of the assessment approval.

Description: Information recorded in the Name field of an assessment.

Description: Number of CEUs recorded in the training settings.

Description: List of users who are assigned as admins of the course.

What is displayed: Course categories.
Description: List of course categories recorded in the Category field in the course settings.
{COURSE DESC LONG}
What is displayed: Text, links, images, etc.
Description: Information recorded in the Long Description field in the course settings.

What is displayed: One of the following: Attendance in single group or standalone session, Attendance in all groups and standalone sessions, or Attendance in multiple groups or standalone sessions.
Description: Depending on the enrollment type of an instructor-led course, it can be Attendance in one session only (a single- enrollment type course), Attendance in all course sessions (an all-enrollment type course), or Attendance in multiple groups or standalone sessions (a multiple-enrollment type course).

What is displayed: Letters and/or numbers.
Description: Information recorded in the ID field of a course.
{COURSE SESSION}
What is displayed: Date, time, time zone, and the room of a session.
Description: Information recorded in the Start Date, End Date, Time Zone, and Room fields in the session settings.
{COURSE START DATE}
What is displayed: Date and time.
Description: Start date and time recorded in the course publishing settings.
{COURSE TITLE HYPERLINK}
What is displayed: Course title.
Description: Information recorded in the Name field of a course, which is a hyperlink to the course home page.
NOTE
When this variable is used in skill-related notifications, it can display the name of a person instead of a course title if the skill in question was awarded manually by a person via the Users page of the Learn365 Admin Center.

Description: Information recorded in the Name field of a course.

What is displayed: Either e-Learning or Instructor-Led Training.
Description: Course type recorded during course creation.

What is displayed: Date and time.
Description: Date and time of training completion.
{DATE SUBMITTED}
What is displayed: Date and time.
Description: The date and time the learner submitted learning time hours for external or informal training.
{DURATION STANDARD FORMAT}
What is displayed: Date and time.
Description: The exact duration of the course or, for learning time category notifications, the number of learning time hours the learner submitted for external or informal training. Displayed as nn days nn minutes.
Variables starting with 'E'

What is displayed: Admin name or System.
Description: Name of the admin who enrolled the user for admin-managed waiting lists, or System for automatic waiting lists.
Variables starting with 'F'

What is displayed: First name of a user.
Description: First name of the user receiving the notification.
