Move an employee to a different team in Perform & Engage 365

Introduction

Required role: Super admin.

You should ensure that every employee at your organization is assigned to the correct manager and department in Perform & Engage 365.

As part of your Perform & Engage 365 onboarding, you'll be guided to create all the required departments and teams, and assign all employees accordingly. Going forward, the organization structure might change so you'll need to move employees around to reflect their new role or team.

IMPORTANT

You can't manually move an employee to a different team if you're using Entra ID sync.

If you're using Entra ID sync, the next time the sync runs, any manual changes will be overwritten and lost.

If you need to move a large number of employees to different teams, you can achieve this via a bulk update. To discuss this, contact Zensai Product Support.

Move an employee to a different team

1. Select Organization > Manage. The Users with no manager (top of organization) page opens.

Here, you'll see the organization structure as it's configured in Perform & Engage 365.

Initially, you'll see the top level of the organization, which means employees who haven't been assigned a manager.

2. In this top level view, find the manager who is at the top of the hierarchical structure for the employee's new team.

3. Select the View <manager's name>'s Team icon on the right-hand side of the manager's row. This opens a page that shows the structure of the selected manager's team.

4. Repeat step 3 until you reach the team into which you want to move the employee.

5. With the correct team selected, enter the first few characters of the employee's name or their email address in the Select person field then select them from the drop-down.

6. Select Move user to this team at the bottom of the screen.
