Template availability

Currently, customers can create conversations using prebuilt templates. These templates cover common use cases while reducing setup complexity. It isn't possible yet to create custom templates from scratch in the new UI but this feature is planned for a future release.

NOTE

New conversations and old (legacy) conversations are treated as two separate features. Existing custom templates created in the legacy experience can't be reused in the Conversations v2 UI.

Edit prebuilt templates

While it isn't possible yet to creating custom templates from scratch in the new UI, future releases will introduce the ability to edit them. This will enable organizations to adjust templates by adding, removing, and modifying elements, so they better suit specific use cases, while still benefiting from a standardized foundation.

Feature scope in this release

This initial release includes the core flow required to run conversations. The following commonly used features aren't available yet:

  • Manager-specific comment fields in certain stages
  • Stage-based notifications and weekly reminders
  • Booking meetings directly from the discussion stage.

These features are planned for future releases as the experience continues to evolve.

Notifications: distinction between new and legacy conversations

In notification settings, there are two distinct sections that work independently of each other and apply to different conversation experiences.

Performance Reviews. This section applies to legacy conversations, including traditional performance review cycles. Notifications here relate to performance review stages, deadlines, and updates.

Conversations. This section applies exclusively to new conversations (campaigns) introduced with Conversations v2. Notifications here control events such as conversation assignment and stage changes in the new UI.

These are separate systems so changing notification settings under Performance Reviews doesn't affect notifications for New Conversations, and vice versa. This separation exists because legacy and new conversations work independently.

UI enhancements and visibility

The Conversations V2 UI has been redesigned with a strong “what you see is what you get” approach. Visibility settings have been simplified and are now handled more consistently across stages, sections, and elements. This reduces complexity and makes it clearer how conversations appear to participants.

Known issues feedback

Since only prebuilt templates are currently live, any unexpected behavior is treated as a potential issue and is actively reviewed. Feedback raised during early usage helps identify and resolve these cases.

Documentation status

Formal user documentation for the new Conversations V2 UI isn't available yet. In the meantime, customers are encouraged to check out product demos and explore the feature to become familiar with the new experience.
