Zensai Scanner overview

Introduction

Zensai Scanner is a web application that lets anyone instantly verify a learner's training profile by scanning a QR code or opening a direct link. No app installation is required; the scanner runs entirely in a browser.

The production URL is https://compliance.365.systems/scanner.

The Zensai Scanner serves three scenarios:

  • User profile. The learner's profile details, their full certificate list, and their skills.
  • Single certificate. The details of one specific certificate, including course information and a PDF download.
  • Self-service QR code. The employee's own personal QR code, generated on demand after signing in.

How it works

1. An LMS admin configures the Scanner in the Automation Center. Here, they enable the Scanner for an environment, choose access rules, and customize branding.

2. An LMS admin uses the Scanner's Generate QR Code page to produce a QR code (or a shareable link) for a specific user or certificate. Alternatively, employees can generate their own personal QR code by signing in to the /Me page directly.

3. A verifier (colleague, event organizer, manager, or the learner themselves) scans the QR code with any device camera, or opens the link in a browser. The scanner page loads instantly and shows the verified information. No login is required in public mode.

Key characteristics

No app required. Works in any modern browser on any device.

Multi-region. Hosted across multiple Azure regions; learners are automatically served from the correct regional endpoint.

Configurable privacy. Can operate in public mode (anyone with the link can view) or private mode (viewers must sign in with their Microsoft account).

Tamper-resistant links. In Token link format, all QR codes are cryptographically signed. Scanning a modified URL will fail validation.

Customizable display. Organizations can brand the scanner with their own logo, title, and stylesheet, and choose exactly which data fields to show.

Filterable results. Certificate and skill results can be scoped to specific categories or tags defined in Learn365.

Requires

  • An active Automation Center license for the tenant.
  • At least one Learn365 environment configured in Automation Center.
  • The scanner must be enabled per environment by an LMS admin.
