Introduction

IMPORTANT

This article is relevant only for organizations that didn't import their finalized or partially prepared courses into Learn365 before we retired the Import Content365 Authoring courses panel as part of the recent Learn365 v.3.69 release. For information about the enhancements we introduced for Content365 Authoring in the Learn365 v.3.69 release, see the release note.

If this doesn't apply to your organization, we invite you to refer to Content365 Authoring: introduction for your regular Content365 Authoring guidance.

Some organizations might not have imported all their finalized or partially prepared Content365 Authoring courses into Learn365 before we recently retired the Import Content365 Authoring courses panel. To enable organizations to import such courses, we've reinstated this capability until Friday, February 13, 2026.

In this article, we show how catalog admins can import these Content365 Authoring courses into Learn365 so these courses can be edited going forward. We also show how catalog admins can delete courses in Content365 Authoring.

Import Content365 Authoring courses into Learn365

Required role: catalog admin. Course admin can edit and manage the course after it's imported into Learn365.

1. Go to the Learn365 Admin Center > Training Management. The Training Management page opens.

A banner near the top of the screen tells catalog admins these legacy features are available until Friday, February 13, 2026.

2. Select Import courses > Content365 Authoring - legacy. The Import Content365 Authoring courses panel opens.

3. You can use the Search field to find a specific course. The search runs only on the course title.

4. Select the courses you want to import into Learn365:

  • To import one course, select the Import course icon next to the relevant course.
  • To import more than one course, hover over each course you want to import and select the checkbox to the left of the course thumbnail. The Import button at the bottom of the panel shows the number of courses you've selected in parentheses, for example Import (3). You can deselect a checkbox if you picked a course in error. Select Import (n) to import the courses or Cancel.

NOTE

There is no limit to the number of courses you can import at a time.

You can continue to use Learn365 while courses are being imported as a background task.

The time it takes to import courses depends partly on the number of courses you import and the number of screens in the courses. Notifications are displayed in the notifications feed during course import, when courses have been imported successfully, and when courses fail to import. Select the bell icon on the Learn365 Admin Center toolbar to check notifications.

Imported courses are displayed on the Training Management page, side by side with other courses and training plans. Imported Content365 Authoring courses show the image 94 (2).png icon in The source of the imported content package column. They also show the red cross icon Unpublished_course_icon.png in the Status column to indicate they aren't yet published.

SCORM packages from imported Content365 Authoring courses are available in Content > Content package storage, where they also show the image 94 (2).png icon.

If one or more courses fail to import, view the relevant notification for more information. If the issue persists, you can contact Zensai Product Support.

Impacts of deleting Content365 Authoring courses from Learn365

Any course you delete in Content365 Authoring is permanently deleted. You can't undo this action.

If you import a Content365 Authoring course into Learn365 then delete the course in Content365 Authoring, only the course in Content365 Authoring is deleted. The course in Learn365 is retired, meaning enrolled learners won't be able to take the course, and other users won't be able to enroll in and take the course.

The course in Learn365 is also marked as decommissioned. In Learn365, the Provider course status column (the LinkedIn_Learning_training_management_page_information_icon.png icon) is displayed on the Training Management page when at least one course in the list is decommissioned or marked for decommissioning. This icon is also displayed next to the relevant training. The Provider course status column is also displayed on the Content package storage page, for content packages that form part of a decommissioned course. Decommissioned courses remain available and it's the responsibility of the course admin to choose whether they want to unpublish or delete them.
