Overview of the Engage365 mobile app

With the Engage365 mobile app, employees can view a list of completed and upcoming check-ins, complete their check-ins, leave comments for check-ins, while managers can review check-ins, share check-in responses, and send reminders about check-ins to employees.

This article provides an overview of the key functionality in the Engage365 mobile app.

View check-ins

When an employee logs in to the app, the main screen with a list of check-ins is displayed. The list contains all check-ins, submitted and upcoming, assigned to a user. The list is sorted from the newest check-ins to the oldest and is grouped by months.

Main Menu

If there are no check-ins scheduled to a user, an empty list is displayed, along with the No check-ins yet message.

Users can refresh the list by using pull-to-refresh.

For more information about the list of check-ins, see this article.

Submit check-ins

To start a check-in, users should find a check-in in the list and select Complete check-in. Alternatively, they can tap the + icon at the top right-hand side of the screen.

Start a check-in

Tapping this icon may open different check-ins, depending on the set schedule and today’s date:

  • If a check-in is due today, the due check-in opens.
  • If the next scheduled check-in isn’t due today, but users can still submit it, the next scheduled check-in opens.
  • If none of the above conditions apply, then an ad-hoc check-in (that is to say, a check-in outside the usual schedule) will open.

The next steps to complete a check-in are the same, regardless of the type of check-in. For more information on the steps, see this article.

View submitted check-ins

After a user submits a check-in, they can view the following information about it:

  • A list of answered questions and responses.
  • A count of likes, comments, and shares to every question (if a manager reviewed the check-in).
  • Comments.

For more information about submitted check-ins, see this article.

Review check-ins and send reminders

The app view for managers is different depending on whether the manager:

  • Has their own check-ins and reviews the check-ins of their team members.
  • Only review the check-ins of their team members.

If a manager submits check-ins, they see two sections when they log in to the app:

  • My check-ins. Managers can view and submit their check-ins. The My check-ins section header is clickable and opens a list of check-ins.
  • My team’s check-ins. Managers can review check-ins and send reminders about check-ins to their team members. The My team’s check-ins section has:
    • The Percentage progress indicator. This shows how many employees from the manager’s team submitted their last check-ins. If it’s 100%, the indicator is green.
    • To review. This shows the number of check-ins ready to review. Select this to open the reviewable check-ins. If there are no check-ins ready for review, the button is inactive.
    • To remind. This shows the number of check-in reminders the manager can send. Select this to open a list of check-ins with the Vacation ( Vacation icon ) and Reminder ( Remind icon ) icons, selecting which marks the check-in as away or sends the reminder about the check-in, respectively.
If there are no check-in reminders available, the button is inactive.

View of the managers who have their own check-ins

If a manager doesn't submit check-ins but reviews check-ins of their team members, they see the following when they log in to the app:

  • The check-ins to review panel. This shows the number of check-ins ready to review. Select this panel to open the reviewable check-ins.
  • The check-ins to remind panel. This shows the number of check-in reminders the manager can send. Select this to open a list of check-ins with the Vacation ( Vacation icon ) and Reminder ( Remind icon ) icons, selecting which marks the check-in as away or sends the reminder about the check-in, respectively.
  • A list of check-ins of the manager’s team members. The check-ins with the most recent due dates are displayed at the top of the list. If there are any ad hoc check-ins in this list, check-ins are sorted by their submission date, starting from the most recent.
