Welcome to the August 2026 edition of What's New!
This month’s release gives administrators more control over their learning environments, simplifies ongoing platform management, and continues our progress toward a more unified Zensai experience.
Let's dive in.
Learning
User group synchronizations give more control over enrollments
Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
Find it in: The “People section” of any e-learning course
Keep the right people enrolled in a training, even when group membership changes, without having to manage enrollments manually.
Course Administrators can now pause and resume synchronization between a training and the user group or Microsoft Entra ID group used to enroll learners. Pausing synchronization freezes the current list of enrolled learners, so changes to group membership no longer affect the training enrollment. Synchronization can be resumed at any time to update enrollments based on the group’s current membership.
For more information, see the Start and stop user group synchronization section in this article.
Centralize communication with global notification management
Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
Find it in: Notification tab under the “Global Settings” left navigation menu
To help admins manage learner communications more consistently across the whole organization, this release introduces Global Notifications. Administrators can now configure tenant-wide notifications.
Administrators can also configure Microsoft 365 connection settings for notification delivery from the same location.
This first set of global notifications supports Learning Time workflows and includes:
- Learning Time Submitted for Approval
- Learning Time Approved
- Learning Time Rejected
These notifications are enabled by default and apply across all catalogs within a tenant.
For more information about:
- Global learning time notifications, see this article.
- How to configure the Microsoft 365 Connection Settings to connect an email account that will be used to send email notifications for global notifications, see this article.
Purge user skills from the users panel
Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
Find it in: User management page
Catalog Administrators can now permanently remove valid or revoked skills for individual users or in bulk directly from the Admin Center.
Every purge is recorded in the audit trail, giving you greater control and visibility over skill data management. The new interface-based experience makes it easier to maintain accurate skills data as organizational needs evolve.
For more information, see the Purge Skill section in this article.
Curate Go1 content more efficiently with selective import
Available in: All plans with add-on
Organizations can now choose exactly which Go1 courses they want to synchronize with the Zensai platform to reduce content overload.
Instead of importing the entire Go1 library, catalog administrators can selectively import individual courses or curated sets of courses directly from the Content Hub. Existing imported content is detected automatically to avoid duplication, while full-library synchronization remains available for customers who prefer that approach.
For more information, see the Import courses section of this article.
Improve assessment transparency with enhanced reviewer visibility
Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
Organizations using assessments can now benefit from greater transparency, making responsibilities clear throughout the review process.
Active proxy managers and delegates are now displayed alongside directly assigned supervisors when supervisor visibility is enabled. Learners and reviewers can clearly see who is involved in assessment reviews, creating a more transparent experience for all participants. Additionally, assessment review comments now indicate whether an assessment was approved or returned.

- Managing assessments in Learn365, see this article.

New UI Updates
Improved training status and enrollment management
Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
Learners now have clearer visibility and greater control over enrollment requests and waiting lists, so they can keep on top of what needs action.
The Pending tab shows courses with enrollment requests awaiting approval, while the Waitlisted tab shows courses where the learner is waiting for a place in an instructor-led training session.
The All tab has been removed to simplify the My Training view and focus attention on relevant training statuses.
For courses that require approval, Enroll has been renamed Request enrollment, with the status changing to Pending approval after submission.
For more information, see this article.
Simplified training status insights on the overview section
Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
The Overview section of the Training Dashboard has been updated to better align with the learner’s My Training experience. Updated labels, simplified widgets and a greater focus on mandatory training and deadlines provide a more consistent view of training progress.
- The Planned training card has been removed
- the Mandatory training card is now Mandatory training to complete
- The Training to complete card has been renamed Training deadlines.
- The Training deadlines chart now shows the percentage of overdue courses and training plans, while Mandatory training to complete chart shows the percentage of mandatory training.
- Numerical counts have also been removed from the cards to simplify the view.
For more information, see this article.
More control over the catalog layout
Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
Catalog Administrators can now choose whether to display the search bar on the course catalog home page and the My Training Dashboard. The new Show search bar toggle lets admins simplify the catalog experience when search isn't needed.
For more information, see this article.
Cross-platform

Available in: Grow • Scale • Transform
We’re expanding the unified Zensai app experience with more connected learning, performance, and engagement capabilities.
In this release:
-
Learning, performance and engagement notifications are now available within the Zensai app. Notifications link directly to the relevant action or page, helping users complete tasks faster.
For more information, see the Notifications section of this article. - Expanded language support continues to improve accessibility for global organizations. For the full list of supported languages, see the Supported languages section of this article.
