Introduction
Course-level surveys enable organizations to collect learner feedback about training. Depending on how a survey is configured, learners might encounter it before starting a course, while participating in a course, after completing a course, or through an email invitation.
Before responding, learners will be informed whether their responses are anonymous or their identity will be recorded.
This article explains how course-level surveys are shown in Learn365 and how to complete them.
Find surveys in a course
Course-level surveys are displayed alongside other course content on the course home page, in the course details panel, and in the Learn365 player.
When a survey is available:
- Start is displayed next to the survey.
- Selecting Start opens the survey.
- After submitting a response, the survey shows a completed status.
- Required surveys are clearly identified.
- Course content that depends on a required survey remains locked until the survey is completed.
Complete a survey before starting a course
Some courses may require feedback before you begin training.
Optional surveys
Optional surveys can be completed immediately or at a later time.
The survey remains available until it is completed, and its status is shown as Completed or Not completed.
Required surveys
Required surveys must be completed before course content becomes available.
When a required survey is present:
- The survey is displayed in the course.
- Course content remains locked.
Learners should complete all required questions and select Submit.
The course content becomes available immediately.
If the course contains multiple required surveys, learners must complete all of them before the course content is unlocked.
Complete a survey after finishing a course
Some surveys are presented after learners complete the learning content in a course.
To complete the survey, learners should:
1. Answer the survey questions.
2. Select Submit.
Learn365 confirms that your feedback has been received.
If learners leave the course before submitting the survey, they can return later and complete it from the course player.
NOTE
Completing a survey doesn't affect course completion. Course completion is determined by the learning content in the course.
Resetting course progress doesn't reset a submitted survey response.
If multiple surveys become available at the same stage of a course, they are displayed as separate steps in the course player.
Complete a survey from an email invitation
Some surveys are sent after course completion.
When a survey becomes available, learners receive an email containing a link to the survey. Learners should:
1. Open the link.
2. Answer the survey questions.
3. Select Submit.
A confirmation page confirms that your feedback has been received.
Each survey can be submitted only once.
If the survey link has expired, is invalid, or has already been used, learners will see a message.
