Install Learn365
IMPORTANT
For tenancies that are hosted in the US Government Azure Cloud, the installation procedure is the same except for the location of the installer URL. This URL will be made available by an Learn365 representative upon successful completion of the installation process. Once Learn365 is installed and the first catalog is created, the Learn365 app will be added to the SharePoint App Catalog automatically.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following conditions are met before you install Learn365:
- Microsoft 365 with SharePoint Online is installed.
- Learn365 is based on a SharePoint app, so an App Catalog site must be created within SharePoint for the Learn365 app to be installed there. See Microsoft's documentation on how to create an App Catalog site in SharePoint here.
- In order to install Learn365, you must be a Microsoft 365 global admin for the Microsoft 365 tenant on which you’re installing Learn365. You must have at least the “Owners” permission to the App Catalog, and at least the “Read” permission to the SharePoint root site collection.

Learn365 will be installed to the course catalog sites automatically. This grants the permissions necessary manage courses and training plans in Learn365, upload documents to learning modules, etc.
3. To start the Learn365 provisioning process, select Get Started.

Select the question mark icon to open the Zensai Help Center, where you'll find a range of help articles.
4. Select the Microsoft Azure Data Center in which Learn365 will be provisioned. We recommend you select the region in which your Microsoft 365 tenant was provisioned or the data center nearest to you.
To find the location (region) of your Microsoft 365 tenant, see this Microsoft article.

6. Confirm your choice of region or go back to select a different one.
IMPORTANT
Once you proceed, the only way you can change the region is by raising a support ticket with Learn365.
Once created, it can take up to 20 minutes for the App Catalog to become available for deploying new packages.
The following screen will be displayed when Learn365 provisioning has started.
NOTE
If the Microsoft 365 tenant doesn't have an App Catalog, or the App Catalog was created in the last 20 minutes, the verification will fail. Find more details here.
Verification will also fail if the account you're using to run the installation doesn't have sufficient permissions for the SharePoint App Catalog. In this case, you'll see the following message: "The SharePoint App Catalog is not available. Please ensure that you have at least "Owner" permissions."
To resolve a verification issue, you'll need to either:
- Create a SharePoint App Catalog and wait 20 minutes for it to be available.
- Or find the App Catalog site in the list of active SharePoint sites and grant at least "Owner" permissions to the account you're using to run the installation.
Typically, Learn365 provisioning takes five to seven minutes.
7. Before using Learn365, you'll need to activate your Learn365 subscription.
