IMPORTANT
Assignments & Grade Book is a historical feature that is being retired. It can’t be enabled for new courses. Admins can continue to access assignment and grade book information for courses where the feature was previously enabled, but learners can no longer view or submit assignments from course pages.
We recommend that organizations still using Assignments & Grade Book migrate their existing assignments to assessments. For information about the migration process, limitations, and post-migration checks, see this article.
Manage assignments
Required role: course or course catalog admin.
IMPORTANT
The information in this section applies only to courses where Assignments & Grade Book was enabled previously. Although admins can still access existing assignment information, learners can no longer view or submit assignments from course pages. We recommend migrating existing assignments to assessments instead of creating or extending assignment workflows. When an assignment is migrated, its due date is retained in the new assessment.
For courses where Assignments & Grade Book was enabled previously, course and course catalog admins can access the list of existing assignments from the Learn365 Admin Center > select a catalog > Training Management > select a course > Assignments & Grade Book > Manage Assignments.

2. In the Actions column, select Delete (the bin) icon for the relevant assignment.

Scale sets
For courses where Assignments & Grade Book was enabled previously, course and course catalog admins can view existing scale sets from the Learn365 Admin Center > select a catalog > Training Management > select a course > Assignments & Grade Book > Scale Sets.
Scale sets used by assignments can be migrated to assessment grading scales as part of assignment migration. For information about which scale sets are migrated and the limitations that apply, see this article.
Grade book
Required role: course or course catalog admin.
NOTE
The Grade Book remains available for courses where Assignments & Grade Book was enabled previously. Assignment-related grades are retained as historical information, but learners can no longer submit assignments from course pages.
The Grade Book shows recorded grades for assignments, custom grades, and SCORM/AICC packages.
To access it, go to the Learn365 Admin Center > select a catalog > Training Management > select a course > Assignments & Grade Book > Gradebook.
The page shows each learner’s recorded assignment grades, custom grades, and SCORM or AICC package grades. Each column except Actions provides filtering options.
Select Custom Grades to create a grade based on an existing scale set. The grade is added as a new column in the Grade Book.
Course and course catalog admins can manually update the grades shown in the Grade Book.
To update grades manually in the Grade Book:
1. Go to the Learn365 Admin Center > select a catalog > Training Management > select a course > Assignments & Grade Book > Gradebook.
2. Select the relevant learner, then select Edit (the pen icon). Update the relevant columns by selecting grades from the drop-down lists. You can also set the completion status to Completed or Not Completed.
3. Select Save to apply the changes or Cancel to discard them.
To update the Grade Book for multiple learners, select Edit and make the required changes. Updated values are highlighted in blue. Select Save to apply all changes or Cancel to discard them.
Grade book settings
On the Grade Book page, select Settings to manage its configuration.
In the Course Completion Settings section, admins can select a grade and specify the percentage that triggers course completion.
NOTE
- If the course or course catalog admin adds items to the Course Completion Settings of a course that the learner has already passed, the learner should complete these items again to complete the course.
- When the course or course catalog admin adds an item to the Course Completion Settings, the status of the learner’s completed attempt of this item isn't cleared. Note that it may be difficult for learners to complete a course with changed Course Completion Settings, as the Completed status will be displayed for all items.
In the Grade Book Grades section, admins can change the column order, add or delete columns, change displayed titles, and add grades.
In the Custom Grades section, admins can add custom grades and edit or delete existing ones.
