Required role: LMS admin, catalog admin, or course admin.
If AI content generation is enabled for your organization, admins can see how many AI requests the organization has made during the current calendar month via the AI usage section in the left-hand navigation panel of the Learn365 Admin Center and in Global Settings. Your organisation's monthly AI request allowance is also displayed here.
Each time an admin requests to generate content with AI (that is to say, they select Generate in the relevant AI-powered feature) counts as one request, regardless of the amount of content generated by the request. For example, an admin generates one quiz that will contain ten questions and will be based on an uploaded video. This will count as one request. The admin generates another, smaller quiz that will contain just two questions and will be based on text input. This quiz will also count as one request, even though less content will be generated.
In the following image, the Requests per month shows as 3/500, meaning that your organization has made three requests out of their 500 allowance.
The color of the bars in Requests per month changes depending on the number of requests made in the current month.
- Any unused monthly allowance will show as a white bar.
- When your AI usage is less than 80% of your monthly allowance, the bar will be blue.
- When your AI usage reaches 80% to 100% of your monthly allowance, the bar will be red.
- When your AI usage reaches 100% of your monthly allowance, you won't be able to generate any more content using AI until the first day of the following month.
Microsoft 365 global admins and LMS admins can configure who will receive email notifications when your organization's monthly AI usage is approaching its monthly request allowance. For more information, see this article.
NOTE
Your AI allowance renews on the first day of each month. Unused allowance from the previous month won't be added to the next month's allowance.
Each user can get up to 15 AI-driven training recommendations per day via the Training section on My Training Dashboard. Training recommendation requests are tracked separately and are excluded from the numbers in the AI usage section.
